This page is for people who have had a previous MoleMap and therefore have an existing baseline record of their skin. Repeating the MoleMap procedure on a regular basis (e.g. yearly) enables our
expert dermatologists to observe structural changes in all of your moles over a period of time.
This innovative technique has been clinically proven to help identify
melanoma earlier than conventional methods.
What's involved in a follow-up appointment:

During your follow-up appointment you will be cared for by a Melanographer who is trained in the field of
skin cancer. She will carry out the following:
-
Head-to-toe skin examination against the baseline record of your skin, to check for the emergence of new moles
-
Digital Dermoscopic and Clinical Images of any new moles + accompanying information (e.g. patient concern)
-
Repeat Digital Dermoscopic (Subsurface) and Clinical Images of all previously imaged moles
-
All imaged lesions imaged are then diagnosed by one of an international panel of expert dermatologists (includes serial monitoring - comparing your most recent images with those from your previous MoleMap to identify any subtle changes that could indicate early skin cancer)
-
A comprehensive report is sent to you and your designated doctor
-
Access to the MoleSnap service (dermatologist opinion of up to 3 lesions of concern) between regular MoleMap exams
-
Patient education on sun protection and self examination, including a self-monitor kit, and a CD copy of your images (upon request)
Low Mole Count $195
Moderate Mole Count $235
High Mole Count $260
Note: No melanoma surveillance programme can claim to be 100% accurate and as such MoleMap is not a complete substitute for a clinical examination. It is therefore important to continue seeing your doctor or specialist for regular skin checks especially if you are at high risk of developing melanoma.
