Adrian Bowling, Chief Executive
Adrian, a professional chemical engineer and MBA, has considerable senior executive experience in multi-national companies including ABB, Trigon and Salmond Smith Biolab, where he held such positions as Chief Executive and General Manager. Thereafter, he spent four years with Ernst & Young as a senior consultant focused on start-up clients, before establishing his own consulting company which was also active in the start-up space and which he led for 5 years, shepherding numerous early-stage companies through commercialization. He has been asked to serve in a range of advisory board roles for entrepreneurial companies, played a leading role in his consulting firm’s incubator program focused on the New Zealand innovation space and was also engaged by a major corporate to establish its corporate venturing initiative. As Chief Executive of MoleMap, Adrian focuses on product innovation and roll-out strategy, supplier relationship management, investor relations and overall organizational leadership. His considerable experience in the areas of photography, electronics design, system design and software development, among other areas of technology and engineering, make a major contribution to MoleMap’s strategic planning and technology development. Rob Nichol, Financial Director Rob, a degree qualified accountant, was a business advisor with Ernst & Young for two years before joining Adrian in the establishment of his consulting company. Trained initially in law enforcement, Rob also spent a number of years as a frontline police officer. Currently, Rob carries Financial Director responsibilities for MoleMap and a select number of other start-up ventures and provides finance support services for a number of early-stage companies through the consulting firm’s incubator program. Rob has also been instrumental in establishing player’s associations for the two main professional sporting bodies in New Zealand – rugby and cricket. Rob oversees the financial management of the company and plays an active role in the day-to-day operations of the business. Dr Mark Gray, Medical Director Dr Mark Gray obtained his primary medical degree at the University of Otago in 1982 and then underwent a postgraduate course in Anatomic Pathology and Dermatopathology at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital and Cornell University/New York Hospital, completing this in 1990. Dr Gray then went on to complete his training in Dermatology and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Canada (Dermatology) in 1993. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists in Australasia and has also attained American Board Certification in both Pathology and Dermatopathology. He is the Director of The Skin Institute Ltd, a private dermatology practice on Auckland's North Shore, which also includes the Skin Cancer Centre and Skin Recovery Clinic. Dr Gray is a specialist dermatologist and dermatological surgeon practicing in Auckland, NZ. He provides onsite pathology services in his private clinic and actively utilizes a range of state-of-the-art technologies to provide the very latest in dermatology practice. He is the author of a large number or original reports, abstracts and letters and regularly presents at international specialist forums. Additionally, he is a member of the New Zealand Dermatological Society. In addition to his thriving medical practice, Dr Gray has interests in a select group of start-up medical ventures focused on furthering the field of dermatology, among which is MoleMap where he is a significant shareholder. Dr Gray acts as MoleMap’s primary consulting dermatologist and has been heavily involved with the establishment of all medical systems and procedures. In addition, he has been a prime mover in developing, and will continue to develop, the specialist point of diagnosis interface and user training programs. Dr Gray is our face to the medical community, responsible for broad-scale professional acceptance of MoleMap and fielding feedback from the medical community. Alastair Sharfe Alastair is MoleMap’s primary software development manager. His diverse development background, with experience ranging from the development of small devices to large databases in a production environment, is highly suited to the MoleMap context. Alastair has a degree in mechanical engineering and is skilled in the use of Windows-based development tools. His responsibilities include development of the software behind MoleMap’s point of care and point of diagnosis systems, as well as design and implementation of the centralized database. |
