Got a suspicious looking mole?
If you’re worried about a mole, and think it may have some of the early signs of melanoma, ask your doctor or dermatologist to check it as soon as possible – or book a Full Body MoleMap or SpotChat virtual consultation straight away.
What is my skin cancer risk?
A key cause of melanoma is overexposure to the sun, and especially sunburn, which is particularly damaging to the skin. UV damage over time all adds up to increased risk of skin cancer, but there are other risk factors too – check out the seven risk factors of skin cancer.
How to check your skin and moles yourself?
If you have a lot of moles, you should check your skin yourself regularly for the early warning signs of melanoma. Note: If you have a mole that’s bleeding, itching or changing shape, it’s important to get it checked by your doctor or dermatologist straight away.
